Welcome to Illusive Swan

Welcome to Illlusive Swan

Welcome friends, to the new Illusive Swan Blog! I’m so excited to be writing my first post! Creating a blog has been on my to-do list for quite some time, but as a Vibrational Therapist by trade, it always seemed to remain at the bottom of the list while more important things were given my attention.

It was through the creative expression of my Illusive Swan shop that I first began to realize how inter- connected beauty and creative flow are with our well-being. Surrounding one’s self with beauty and things you love, can almost instantly manifest a peaceful, calming effect. It is my desire to impart those feelings of well-being and joy into all of my designs so those uplifting emotions can be shared with you.

Beauty comes in many forms, and in my opinion, it nourishes the mind and soul on some intrinsic level. Be they fragrant pink roses in the garden, the gentle glow of candlelight upon silver mercury glass, or a bluebird sitting gracefully upon a branch laden with fluffy blossoms. There is also beauty here in my studio where I create my Illusive Swan designs. When I walk into the room, I am immediately transported to a magical place where everything is happy and serene. When the weather permits, I’ll open my windows wide to hear the birdsong, their uplifting melodies adding to my already joyful mood.

My studio is filled with plenty of pastel eye-candy. It’s like entering an old-fashioned confectionary, overflowing with sweetness in the softest shades of pink, mint, aqua and buttercream. There are mercury glass bases and ornaments in the same dreamy shades, ready to be added to pink and cream bottle brush trees. There are glittered branches, sparkling rhinestones, millinery flowers, pretty paper scraps and tags, silky ribbons, vintage velvet and lace, and creamy pearls. There’s more than enough to make any shabby-chic girl drool with delight.

Along with my Illusive Swan designs, I’ll be posting photos of beautiful settings, places to relax and dream, and possibly some of my favorite recipes for you to try as well. I hope you’ll join me, so you too can discover simple ways to transform unattractive items into new found treasures for your home, office or garden.

Until then, I’m wishing you a most beautiful and rosy day!
